In creating Misty Isle gin, both brothers took inspiration from the local landscape and the Old man of Storr in particular. They even fought off the big boys with a disputed name (they first launched as Isle of Skye gin and are still the only company/gin stills producing gin on Skye!)
With lots of dedication, burning the midnight oil, weeks foraging local juniper berries often in the rain! they finally launched Misty Isle gin early February 2017 to great applause. All of the gin is made locally in Portree and use the crystal clear spring waters from the Storr Loch just over a mile or so away from the distillery.
